Ordinary family life is filled with Grace and grandeur!!

Is the sort of committed life the Holy Family Institute requires feasible in the context of the distractions and confusion found in the average person's life?

Yes, it is. The reason we may think it is not is because we see "dedication" and "closeness to God" in the context of a regular Religious group, i.e. "Church" and "quiet".

But God is EVERYWHERE. We find Him in church and find Him equally in the kitchen.

God is in the tenderness between husband and wife... and also in their rows and tears. He is in "good" children and in the other sort. He is in the greatest of days, the highs and the wonderful experiences... and He also is in the bad days, the sorrows, the negative moments, the failures, the frustrations, the annoyances of everyday life.

It is not by quiet and recollection only or by taking refuge in this or that form of evasion that we become close to God. It is, on the contrary, by facing up to the tasks of each day, to the daily grind, to the monotony, boredom, contrasts, contestations, refusals and rejections of which each life is full.

None of these things are a hinderance to Holy Family Institute life as long as there is goodwill and a determination to succeed. In fact, the ordinary in our lives will, through the power of our Vows, enrich our families and help to transform our World. This is because every breath we take and action we perform will be with Christ and in Christ.
